Comicbook Stickies and Drawing

RE: Helen said "maybe we could use humpty dumpty for something else - it could be interesting to experiment with a few short kids' things - we had talked of possibly having a kids' section in the festival, & we have "the rabbits" that louise & i can do. it could be fun to experiment with a few, perhaps using drawing?"

yes, I was thinking along these lines, but not necessarily for children. More like comic book or line drawings for adults. So we could use all those basic little stickies I made for World X, against a white background - and then, as in the story 'henry and the purple crayon' - the sticky world can be drawn into being.

I'd really like an adult drawing cartoon. Give it a strong storyline - even based on a nursery rhym

Me and hen had an impromptu idea of doing something based on the Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot .. instead of nursery rhymes and in tribute to late Boomer, perhaps not quoting the text as it is but inpired by it writing our own cats.

UpStage is perfect for comic style presentation. My favorite comic book character (and man of my dreams (sic)) is Corto Maltese

When I was kid we had a storyteller Kylli-täti on Tv who told fairytales while drawing them on canvas.

Have a lood at this archive video, LOL:
Clowd Princess

The clowd princess is great. Drawing as you tell is good device - but we need someone with skill to do fine work ie. Vicki.

RE: Cats -
just difficulty of drawing them I guess, stick figures are easier. But shouldn't be impossible

cat can be a stick figure with ears and tail?

yeah, just add them to ones already made (I made about 12!) to save time for rehearsal experimentation. They should be on World X.

i made a corto av when we wewre back in the palace [do you remember len?]

i can draw cats! [my silver grey familiar - who curled up and went to sleep under a flax bush last year at somewhere in her late teens] was rendered in various mediums over the time i spent with her

i love the idea of drawing and telling the story at the same time...
